What is the Vista Viking Festival?
Vista Viking Festival is hosted by Norway Hall Foundation and presented by Norwegian Fish Club Odin and Norge Lodge of Sons of Norway. On the grounds, spectators can enjoy a variety of entertainment all day long on two stages. In addition to fine musical performers and acts, you can also enjoy amazing arts and crafts for children, delicious ethnic food, fine spirits, rides on real Viking Fjord Horses, competitions, ax throwing, archery, spear throwing, Viking villages and encampments. Join us for a day of fun!

 

What are the dates and hours?
We are open Saturday, September 29 from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm AND Sunday, September 30 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm.

 

How much are the tickets for admission? What does the admission price include?
Ticket prices are $7.00 for Adults (one day) and $11.00 for Adults (two days) Children under 12 are FREE. Admission includes all entertainment, living history exhibits, battle demonstrations, craft demonstration, bread making, and activities available in the KidZone.

 

How much is parking?
Viking Festival offers both a preferred parking lot near the front gate for $5 (cash only) and additional parking just south and north of the festival for $3 (cash only). Handicapped parking is also available near the front gate for $3 (cash only).

 

Is there a place to secure bicycles?
The Viking Festival does not currently have a bicycle rack. There is no charge to secure a bicycle.

 

May we bring outside food and drink?
No outside food and drink are permitted. Tailgating/Grilling on our premises is not permitted and you will be asked to leave without refund.

 

Are there vegetarian/vegan options available on site?
Sorry—there are no vegetarian/vegan options available on site.

 

What other amenities are available?
For your convenience, we have the following on the festival grounds:ATMs, Restrooms, Handicapped Restrooms, First Aid, Lost & Found

 

Is the Faire wheelchair accessible?
Yes, with the understanding that we are an outdoor event. The food and shopping areas are on pavement. Upon request, we can provide a ramp for entry into our heritage hall. We are also on open ground and under the trees with rough terrain. You may encounter hills and roots. It is best to have a strong friend available to help you push your chair if yours is not motorized.

 

May we bring a pet?
Pets are not permitted.

 

Do I have to come in costume?
No, comfortable clothes are recommended. Many of our guests come in costume and we feel that the whole experience is heightened and more fun when you come dressed to play.

 

Does the Viking Festival have costumes for rent?
Sorry, we do not provide costumes for rent; however, there may be costume-type clothing available for purchase in the shopping area.

 

If I wear a costume, do I get in for free?
No.

 

May I bring my (costume) weapon?
All weapons should be sheathed and peace-tied. Our security team at the entrance gate will assist you if you do not know how to peace tie your weapon.


May I bring my bow & arrow?
Yes. You may bring your bow if it is unstrung, or strung with yarn (or some other line that cannot hold tension). Arrows must be untipped and cable-tied together and secured to the quiver. Our security team at the entrance gate will assist you if you do not know how to peace tie your weapon.

 

Can I leave the Viking Festival and come back in?
Yes, you can ask for a hand stamp from the greeters at the front gate.

 

What if it rains?
The Festival is open rain or shine.
